AI furniture visualization - software for visualizing furniture in interiors
Raya is an AI furniture visualization app for manufacturers, online stores, furniture showrooms and custom furniture makers. From a product photo or a 3D model of a piece, AI creates a photorealistic visualization in a styled interior or on a plain background, usually in under a minute and without a photo shoot.
Show the same armchair in a bright living room, in a hotel lobby and on a white background for the product page. Try new upholstery variants on a photo of a fabric swatch before a piece in that fabric even exists.

The shortest route to a visualization starts with a photo you already have: a catalog packshot, a shot from the warehouse or a phone picture. In the Furniture tool you upload up to 4 photos - several angles of one piece, or several pieces that should appear together in the frame, such as a table with chairs. AI reads the shape, proportions and material from them and then places the product in the scene you choose.

AI visualizationPackshot on white or a styled interior?
Online stores and marketplaces usually need the product on a clean background: white, black or in your brand color. Catalogs, collection pages and social media work better with the piece in context - then you describe the interior in your own words in the background field, for example “a bright living room with large windows and an oak floor”. Photorealistic furniture visualizations in both variants come from the same software.
It works the other way round too. If all you have is a photo of the piece standing in a room, you choose a plain background and studio lighting, and AI returns a studio shot ready for the product page. In the example below, the armchair from a dark living room ends up on a light background, without the cushion, side tables and hide from the original frame.
Photo in an interior
Studio shotYou choose from four lighting settings: studio, sunny, cloudy and golden hour. Match the aspect ratio to the channel - square for the product page, 16:9 for a banner, portrait for stories. You download the finished image in 2K for 2 credits or in 4K for 4.
How do you create AI furniture visualizations in Raya?
The whole process fits on one screen and needs no knowledge of rendering software. This is what working with AI for furniture visualization looks like, from the first photo:
1Upload a furniture photo
Up to 4 JPG, PNG, WEBP or TIF files, each up to 10 MB. A sharp photo in daylight that shows the whole piece, with no legs or backrest cut off, works best.
2Set the parameters
Choose a background - white, black or in your brand color for a packshot - or describe the interior. In the materials field you change the color or upholstery of the piece, also from a photo of a fabric swatch, and in the additional info field you add the rest of the scene, for example someone reading in the armchair.
3Generate the visualization
A 2K visualization is ready in under a minute. If one part needs changing, you fix just that part instead of generating the whole frame again.
When the result is close but not quite right, it is usually enough to add one detail to the description or a photo of the piece from another side. A side or back view tells AI what the packshot does not show.
Furniture arrangements in a space, online - your product in the client’s room
A customer in a furniture showroom rarely asks how the sofa looks on a white background. They ask how it will look at home. That is why Raya also works as a furniture rendering app for clients: you upload a photo of their room, add a photo of the piece as a reference object, mark where it should stand and describe the change.
Client’s room
Room with your furnitureAI places the piece in the marked area, in the perspective and light of that room. The walls, floor and other furniture stay where they are, so the client recognizes their own home instead of looking at a similar interior from a catalog. AI judges scale from the photo alone, so a visualization like this shows style and proportions, but it does not replace measuring before an order.
The same tool helps at the other end of the process too. From a finished visualization you can make a close-up of a detail, a view from another side or a composition of four frames on a 2x2 grid, ready for the product gallery.
3D furniture visualizations from the software you design in
If the piece is designed in 3D software, you do not have to wait for a prototype or photos. Raya creates a visualization from a view of the model: the shape and proportions stay yours, and AI fills in the materials, light and surroundings from your description. A grey model without materials is enough too - what matters is a clear shape.
The simplest way is a screenshot of the view from your software, uploaded to the visualization generator like any photo.

Upload a 3D model of the furniture in your browser
You upload a GLB, GLTF, OBJ or FBX file in the Upload 3D model tab. You rotate the piece, set the frame - front, side, top or isometric - describe the materials and surroundings, and Raya generates a visualization from that angle. More angles mean more generations, not another shoot, so a full set of images for the product gallery comes from one file.

No 3D model of the piece? Generate one from a photo
Many pieces in a range never had a 3D model - especially older collections and products from suppliers. The generator turns a single photo, or up to 4 views from different sides (front, left side, back, right side), into a model in FBX or GLB format, from 6 credits.
Furniture photo

You can upload such a model straight away in the Upload 3D model tab and create visualizations from any side. In the SketchUp plugin, from version 2025, you insert it directly into the scene. You can also share the model with interior designers, who then place your furniture in their projects instead of similar shapes from a library.
For the number of views, mesh density, textures and model formats, see the 3D model from photo generator page.
Furniture videos for social media and your online store
A finished visualization turns into a short shot: the camera glides slowly along the sofa, light moves across the fabric, or someone walks into the room and sits down in the armchair - as in the example below. A video lasts from 4 to 8 seconds, comes in landscape or portrait format and costs from 4 credits.
Two ready-made effects were designed with furniture in mind. “Furniture Reveal” smoothly slides furniture into an empty room, and “Furniture from Box” shows a piece popping out of a box in the middle of the room. An effect adds 2 credits and needs no description of the camera movement.
Portrait video goes straight to reels and stories, landscape to the collection page or a presentation for a retail chain.
AI furniture visualizations vs. a photo shoot and classic rendering
Product photography and engine rendering have their place, and Raya does not rule them out. The difference lies in the cost of every next variant: a new upholstery, a new room setting, a new format for another sales channel.
| Photo shoot or classic rendering | Visualization in Raya | |
|---|---|---|
| First image | A studio booking, or hours of scene setup and render time | Usually under a minute from uploading the photo |
| New upholstery variant | A piece in the new fabric for the shoot, or swapping the material in the scene and rendering again | A swatch photo as a texture and another generation for 2 credits |
| Furniture in a room setting | A rented interior, styling and props, or a built 3D scene | A description of the interior in the background field |
| Furniture in the client’s room | A catalog and the client’s imagination | A photo of the room from the client and the piece placed in the marked spot |
| Short film | Camera operator, set and editing | A few-second shot from a finished visualization, from 4 credits |
AI reproduces the piece from photos, not from the dimensions in your documentation, so check small details - stitching, hardware, wood grain - before publishing in the store. Where customers buy based on exact color and texture, a photo of the finished product is still the safer choice.
Who is this furniture visualizer for?
In the furniture industry, the same set of tools serves several very different processes. Each starts from different material and needs something different at the end.
- Furniture manufacturers
- A catalog of a new collection in several room settings before series production starts - from a 3D model or from photos of the prototype. Every fabric and finish variant shown without sewing pieces for a shoot.
- Online stores and marketplaces
- A packshot on white and a room-set image from the same supplier photo. Product pages get a consistent style even when photos from different manufacturers were taken in completely different light.
- Furniture showrooms and sales advisors
- A sofa from the showroom placed into a photo of the client’s living room while you are still talking at the desk. The client decides by seeing the piece at home, not by imagining it from a catalog.
- Custom furniture and joinery workshops
- A kitchen, wardrobe or built-in unit shown to the client before the boards are ordered. A model in 3D software or a freehand sketch becomes an image the client approves before anything is cut.
Free furniture visualization software to start - what does it cost after that?
After signing up you get 20 free credits valid for 14 days, with no card required. That is 10 furniture visualizations in 2K or 5 in 4K - enough to test the tool on your own products, not on sample files.
After that you pay with credits from your plan: a visualization costs 2 credits in 2K and 4 in 4K, editing a part from 2, video from 4, and a 3D model from a photo from 6 credits. Plugins for 3D software are free and use the same pool.
Furniture visualizations - frequently asked questions
Will AI reproduce my furniture faithfully?
AI carries the shape, proportions, color and type of material over from the photos you upload. The better the piece is visible - a sharp shot, daylight, several sides - the less it has to guess. Small details such as stitching, hardware or wood grain are worth comparing with the product before publishing. If a part is off, you fix just that part in editing, without generating the whole image again.
Which furniture photos give the best results?
A sharp photo of the whole piece, with no legs or backrest cut off, taken in even daylight. The background does not have to be white, but the fewer objects around it, the easier it is to separate the product from its surroundings. You can upload up to 4 photos at once, for example the front, side and back, each up to 10 MB.
Can I show a piece of furniture in a photo of the client’s room?
Yes. In visualization editing you upload a photo of the room, add a photo of the piece as a reference object and mark where it should stand. The rest of the room stays unchanged. AI does not know the room’s dimensions and judges scale from the photo, so check the measurements the traditional way before ordering.
Do I need a 3D model to visualize a piece of furniture?
No. A product photo is enough. A model helps when the piece does not exist yet or when you need many views from different sides - then you upload the model file or generate a model from a photo and create further frames from it.
Can I use the visualizations in my online store and catalog?
Yes. You have full commercial rights to the images generated in Raya, regardless of your plan, so you can publish furniture visualizations in your store, in a printed catalog, in ads and in materials for retail chains.
How long does it take to generate a furniture visualization?
A 2K visualization usually takes 20-40 seconds, a 4K one 1-2 minutes. Video takes longer, from one to several minutes depending on length and quality.
