AI visualization editing fix a render without going back to the model

Select an area, describe the change or upload a photo of a piece of furniture, and Raya fixes just that spot in under a minute. The rest of the visualization stays exactly as it was.

20 credits to start, which is 10 edits in 2K. No card required.

Your client asks for a different wall colour, a lighter sofa or a lamp from a specific catalogue? AI visualization editing in Raya lets you make that kind of change on the finished image, without setting up the scene again and without rendering from scratch. It’s a tool for interior designers and architects who want to respond to client feedback quickly.

AI render editing works on any image: a visualization from Raya’s AI visualization generator, a render from V-Ray, Enscape or Twinmotion, or even a photo of an interior. You do it all in the online visualization editor, right in your browser.

How does AI visualization editing work?

Editing works on a finished visualization: it keeps its style, light and framing, and changes only what you point to. That’s why corrections have their own “Edit” tab instead of generating from scratch.

Every edit is a full generation: it costs 2 credits in 2K or 4 credits in 4K and usually takes less than a minute. If the result misses the mark, you generate it again or add another correction on the new image.

  1. Uploading a finished kitchen visualization to the Raya AI visualization editor, next to the types of files you can edit

    1 · You upload

A finished visualization from Raya, a render from another program or a photo.

  2. AI visualization editing panel with a selected area, a change instruction and a chair photo as a reference

    2 · You point

Select an area and describe the change. Add a furniture photo when you want a specific model.

  3. AI visualization of a kitchen after editing: the reference chair and a green wall, the rest of the interior unchanged

    3 · You download

A corrected visualization in the same style. Raya leaves the rest of the image unchanged.

Online visualization editor - what can you fix?

The editing panel has several tools. You can use them separately or combine them in a single edit.

  • Select area

Draw a frame on the image and type a short instruction next to it, e.g. “paint it green” or “remove the cabinets”.

  • What do you want to change?

A general field for changes to the whole shot: time of day, light, weather or the mood of the interior.

  • Reference objects

Upload a photo of a piece of furniture, a lamp or a material sample and point to where it should appear.

  • Camera angle

A new shot of the same interior: from below, from above, from the side, a detail or a wider frame.

  • 2x2 Grid

Four different shots from one visualization arranged into a ready-made composition.

  • 2K, 4K and upscaling

Choose the edit quality, and upscale the finished image to 4K or 6K if you need to.

Changing the wall colour on a visualization

Changing the wall colour on a visualization is the most common correction clients ask for. When you want to change one wall, select it with a frame and add the colour - Raya paints only that area.

If you type the same instruction into the general field without a selection, AI treats it as a change to the whole interior. Drag the sliders and compare both results.

Swapping furniture on a visualization with a reference object

Swapping furniture on a visualization works best with a photo. Raya doesn’t know every product from every catalogue, so instead of naming the model you show it in a photo - cropped to the piece itself, ideally on a light background.

The reference photo, the frame on the image and a short description of one change sit in a single row of the panel, so AI knows what to insert and where. Draw the frame with some margin - Raya matches the scale of the furniture to the perspective of the interior on its own.

Changing the camera angle and the 2x2 grid

Changing the camera angle creates a new shot of the same interior without going back to the model. You choose a shot from below, from above, from the side, a detail or a wide angle, and Raya keeps the furniture, materials and light from the original.

2x2 Grid

The 2x2 grid turns one visualization into four different shots arranged into a ready-made composition that you can show the client right away or post on social media.

How to edit an AI visualization step by step

Editing works best in small steps: two or three changes per round, then another correction on the new image.

  1. Upload window for a finished visualization in the Raya AI visualization editor with supported formats
    1

    Upload a finished image

A visualization, render or photo in JPG, PNG or TIF, up to 10 MB. You can also open an image from your history in Raya.

  2. Selected areas of an AI visualization with instructions: change the wall colour and remove the cabinets
    2

    Select and describe the change

Draw a frame around the spot you want to fix and type a short instruction next to it. Changes to the whole shot go into the general field.

  3. Reference object in AI visualization editing: a chair photo with a description and a marked target area
    3

    Add a furniture photo

Optional. When you want a specific model, upload its photo and mark the spot with a frame.

  4. Before and after comparison of an AI visualization edit with a slider, plus download and regenerate buttons
    4

    Generate and compare

After you click “Generate”, you usually wait less than a minute. Compare the result with the original using the slider, then download it or keep refining.

What to fix in editing and what in the 3D model?

AI models are probabilistic, so editing is great at changing how things look, but it isn’t a tool for centimetre-precise work. The rule is simple: fix the look in Raya and the dimensions in the model.

In Raya editing

  • Colour of a wall, cabinet fronts or upholstery
  • Swapping, adding or removing furniture and decor
  • Time of day, light and weather
  • New shots, close-ups and 2x2 compositions

In the 3D model, before generating

  • Dimensions and moving furniture by a specific number of centimetres
  • Tile layout, size and rotation
  • Finishing the whole interior, a dozen or so materials at once

Why edit visualizations in Raya?

Client corrections no longer mean a new render and another night of waiting.

  • You change only what you point to

Editing keeps the style and framing of the visualization and changes the selected area or whatever you describe.

  • Works on any render

A visualization from Raya, a render from V-Ray, Enscape or Twinmotion, or a photo of an interior.

  • A fix in under a minute

You respond to client feedback the same day, not after another round of rendering.

  • Costs the same as one visualization

An edit costs 2 credits in 2K. You’ll find current plans on the Raya pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit a render from V-Ray, Enscape or a photo?

Yes. Editing works on any JPG, PNG or TIF image up to 10 MB: a visualization from Raya, a render from another program or a photo of an interior.

How much does AI visualization editing cost?

The same as generating a visualization: 2 credits in 2K or 4 credits in 4K. To start, you get 20 free credits, which is 10 edits in 2K.

Will editing change the rest of the image?

Editing keeps the style, light and framing of the visualization and changes only what you select or describe. AI models are probabilistic, though - if something goes wrong, generate the edit again.

How many changes can I make in one edit?

Two or three is best. With ten changes at once, some won’t be applied or will land in the wrong place. Split a longer list of feedback into several rounds, starting with the most important changes.

How do I change the time of day on a visualization?

Type the change into the “What do you want to change?” field without selecting an area, e.g. “change the time of day to golden hour”. The general field is meant for exactly that: changes to the whole shot, such as time of day, light and weather.

Can editing change dimensions or move furniture?

Instructions such as “move the sofa 10 cm” are better made in the 3D model, followed by generating the visualization again. Editing changes the look, but it doesn’t guarantee centimetre precision.
